Sometimes I think he loved his animals more then people. I never thought this would be my life, living without my son. I’m so heartbroken without him. I miss him everyday dearly. I would of never seen that coming in all our conversations and his behavior. Don't get me wrong my dad wasn't always angry or sad through out my life, I remember a lot of of his happy times. Was he a happy person, was he a good kid, did he get in trouble a lot at school or maybe only once or twice? I wonder because I see his high school graduation picture and he looks NOTHING like the man I knew! Even the picture he took when he was in the Army, he looks so different. I always wonder what he was like before I came into the picture, before he enlisted in the Army. I smile when I think about him! He wasn't somebody who always had a smile on his face though. 576Michael Waddell Michael Waddell My Dad. Kenneth had a sixth sense about others – he knew when they needed a kind word, a hug, or a helping hand – and he offered it with no expectation of receiving anything in return. Fairness and objectivity were two of his hallmarks. He never made anyone, regardless of their age or station in life, feel little he never let anyone take advantage or put others down. Adults loved to have conversations with him because he was so well-read, and his opinions and ideas were sought out and respected. Everyone liked him, including little kids (but he preferred adults, even when HE was a child!). He worked at a veterinarian’s clinic prior to joining the Army, and was always getting compliments for his special ‘way’ with the animals that came in.
